mom pushing me to get pregnant… im only 17?
im 17, and my mom keeps saying
“when’s my grandchild ready?”
“please have a baby soon love, i want to be a nana”
“i cant wait untill you give me a grandchild, soon eh?”
“when are you going to get pregnant for me?”
“dont worry about things, you’re a bright girl, education wont be a problem, but just think about a baby…”
“you’re the perfect age, your body is just right for a child”
“wouldn’t it be lovely to have a baby right now”
“your young, many people would envy your given opportunities and ability to concieve, make the most of them”
“why not have a baby? nothing else matters..it’d be lovely to be a nana”
“what’s more important than a baby, so why not love?”
and all sorts like that,
i think its because she wishes shed had more than just me and my sister, and because my sister is unable to concieve.
and im worried that if i do get pregnant, i’ll feel to guilty to make a responsible decision, or think about all my options, or that she would completely take over and take charge of everything…..
i’ve talked to her gently about seeing how things go, and not rushing into things, and about a career, and about providing a healthy lifestyle for the child, but she is ademant!
what do you think of all this?
Have a baby when you are ready not because Your mother want to ne grandmother i know it is like a dream for her to have a grandchild but don’t have a baby so she will stop pestering you to have a baby because as soon as the child is born this baby will be your responsibility, would you ba able to cope with having a child and as you want to focus on your career and will your mum help you???

Do you think you have a healthy life style?
Do you think it is more important for you to eat healthy or tasty food?
Do you agree with the saying: “Eat your breakfast, share your lunch with a friend and give your dinner to your enemy”? Why do people say so?
Is obesity a great problem in where you live?
Is physical activity (jogging, going to a gym, swimming pool) an important part of a healthy life style?
Is sleeping late connnected to health?
A healthy lifestyle means maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet as well as engaging in sports or other fitness related activities. A healthy diet alone however is inadequate to ensure a healthy body as physical activity helps to keep one in shape and free of sickness and disease.
According to the World Health Organization, only one in ten people exercise regularly and a majority do not follow a healthy diet. The main culprit is our penchant for junk food as can be seen from the popularity of fast food chains and other western eateries. even local foods such as fried noodles, friend rice and snacks and savories are laden with fat and calories. Thus, consuming this type of food on a daily basis can contribute to weight gain. Overweight and obese people suffer from many health complications such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even cancer.
Hence, the emphasis on healthy lifestyle should start at a young age. Parents must urge their children to eat more vegetables, fruits, juices, wholemeal and wholegrain foods. Many parents, due to time constraint, usually find the easy way out by cooking two-minute noodles or heading towards the nearest fast food joint for quick meal. They do not realize however that sets the stage for an unhealthy lfestyle for their children who quickly become addicted to such foods. Thus, parents can counter this problem by cooking or preparing meals that do not take up time such as cheese sandwiches, soup, stir friend vegetables or buy pre-packed meals from supermarkets which can be warmed up in the microwave oven.
Please translate it for me?

What is wrong with a couple who does not want children?
I’m hoping to get some differing opinions here. My husband and I have been married for some time now. He is active duty Military and is in Afghanistan for the next year. Quite some time ago, we made the decision not to have children. It isn’t because we hate them or anything like that although neither one of us are all that fond of them. It just isn’t the lifestyle that we pictured for ourselves. We are happy, feel fulfilled, have all the freedom we want and don’t feel as if we are missing out on anything. I have never felt that overwhelming desire to be a mother as my husband was never able to see himself as a father. We are a healthy couple; our decision has nothing to do with health issues.
The problem is that every single one of our friends who have children put enormous pressure on us to “join the mommy and daddy club” (as they put it). We have been told that we are “weird”, “abnormal”, and “selfish”; none of which we are. Why is it so important to others that we become parents and why is it any of their business?
I am in my mid 30′s and my husband is in his late 20′s Both of us decided many years ago, separately, that we did not wish to have children. Sorry; I should have put our ages in there
@ Blaze..what makes you so sure that my husband and I are White?
If the White people are apparently responsible for the decline of population, have you considered that the world’s population is currently 7 BILLION people? Doesn’t that seem a bit over-populated to you? Somehow, I don’t think that one couple choosing to remain child-free is going to shift the balance so dramatically.
Many people feel that having children is extremely important. I guess it’s just what most of us were brought up to believe. Those beliefs are passed on from one generation to the next, and are quite resistant- often, they are inflexible too, and that is why some people refuse to accept that a family does not necessarily have to include 2 parents and their offspring. Culture is a very important factor that shapes these beliefs. In some cultures, for example, the purpose of finding a partner and getting married is solely based on procreation. In the western world, despite all the progress, many people still think that marriage equals having children. Many people find it difficult to accept and respect that a couple could decide to not have any children. They start thinking there must be something wrong with this couple. They make negative comments, of the sort you mentioned here. It is simply inconceivable to them, because they don’t think that being childless is even an option, a choice.
I think that your decision is perfectly fine, especially because you and your husband have talked about it, and made a mutual and conscious decision. It sounds like mature behavior to me. You have chosen the kind of relationship, the kind of life you want together, and it is none of everyone else’s business.
Body Cleansing Programs?
I have a gastroenterologist who recommended me to take Miralax & Suppositories everyday for the next 3-6 months. This will be too harsh on my body. I am a diabetic and I have severe high blood pressure. I have been advised to start on a body cleansing program because the constant fatigue is the main problem. OTC Regimen seems to work for a little while and then I start getting constipated again or I will have to discontinue because I get dehydrated from diarrhea. I have been advised by the gastroenterologist to be on a high fiber diet. I have been advised to eat only fruits and vegetables from the internal medicine physician. No breads, No Sugar, No Salt, No Caffeine. No Fried Foods. No Excuses. I have been advised to start on a vegetarian meal program that is designed for diabetics.
So, I am searching for a high fiber diabetic vegetarian meal program and complete body cleansing program for overall health. I am suppose to eat 6 small meals a day. I have digestive problems so it is hard for me to take multivitamins. I would eat lot of high fiber foods and would get constant bloating and gas discomfort. So, I would need to be on a cleansing program and drink plenty of water only with every meal to eliminate the symptoms.
So, I was told if I could afford it; they would recommend me to start on the DrNatura Colonix Program for the first three months along with the Digestaid and Flora Protect Probiotics for the first three months to start regulating the bowel movements and eliminate the toxins that causes fatigue. It would cost me $293.24 for the three month program but do you think that it would be worth a try?
I have asthma, severe high blood pressure, diabetes, acid reflux disease, and internal hemorrhoids & external hemorrhoids. I have been breaking out in so many rashes lately but they said that the body acid and diabetes may be the cause of this and a body cleansing program and vegetarian diet should eliminate this program within the first two weeks.
It is amazing what the body goes through. I have three children and I would not want them to lose their mother over something that can be avoided. A body cleansing regimen is important for any woman or man and that is why I had to have the colonoscopy. I am searching for a healthy lifestyle and I am not good at staying on a diet program with cleansing out the body first. The body cleansing program is suppose to be a jumpstart towards a healthy lifestyle. It is suppose to take the taste of junk foods away and that is what I need. A program to coach me the right way to maintain a healthy lifestyle and remain on this healthier lifestyle for the rest of my life.
$300 sounds like a lot of money for something you can do yourself. You don’t need a jump start, you need to find a healthy diet that you can stick to.
For the most part all colon cleansing products are scams. Colon cleansing is wholly unnecessary and a waste of time and money. Regardless of hype, regardless of ingredients, method, or testimonials, colon cleansing is quite purely and simply medical quackery. The one exception to this is when it’s prescribed medically as in preparation for an examination such as colonoscopy.
The main reason it’s called a scam is because the colon is a continuously self-cleaning system. Everyone knows that food goes in at the top of the GI tract and the leftover waste material quite naturally comes out the other end.
There is little scientific evidence to support any benefits of colon cleansing. It’s generally unnecessary and at times may even be harmful. Although doctors prescribe colon cleansing as preparation for medical procedures, it doesn’t do anything for the symptoms you listed. Their reasoning is simple: The digestive system and bowel naturally eliminate waste material and bacteria — your body doesn’t need enemas or special diets or pills to do this.
If you are seriously considering colon cleansing, consider trying these steps first:
* Drink plenty of fluids, including water
* Eat a diet rich in fiber, low on red meat is fine. It doesn’t need to be vegetarian.
* Get regular exercise, like walking for 30 minutes each day, or better
These simple step will get the same result, and you saved your money. Good Luck!
