Your Questions About Healthy Foods For Weight Loss

Linda asks…

healthy foods for weight loss?

I’m a 15 year old girl. Over the summer I was watching what I was eating and exercising everyday and I lost 20 lbs. Since school started I haven’t been working out as much and I have let my eating habits slip. I’m starting to run everyday again. I just need to improve my diet. What are some good healthy weight loss foods? And I pack a lunch for school. Any lunch ideas?
Answers would be fantastic. I’ll pick a best. (:

Healthy foods for weight loss, etc?

I am trying to lose weight, and I really want to start eating healthier. I’m not gonna lie, I’m really not a fan of many fruits. Vegetables are okay; I like salad. But I need some more ideas on healthy, good-tasting foods. I find it especially hard to decide on something to bring to work and school. Any ideas?

admin answers:

Eat more fish and less bread. Chicken is also good. Water only and move more.

Healthy foods for weight loss?

What are some foods you can eat a lot of without gaining weight? Is it true that you can eat as many green vegetables as you want?

I need sort of a rough guide on how much to eat, how many times a day to eat, and what to eat. Im trying to lose about 15 pounds.
I am a pescetarian…im a vegetarian who eats fish.

admin answers:

You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.

If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.

Carbs are addictive and can be disastrous to our health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs and eat one every time you want “something” have huge omelets for breakfast, with bacon, a lil onion, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops for lunch. Get pork rinds and eat them with tuna salad. Steak for dinner. Make a huge sugar free cheese cake for dessert. Eat so much you won’t feel deprived of anything. By the fourth day, your addiction will be gone and you can start making healthy choices.

High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.

Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!

Healthy, tasty foods for weight loss on the go?

Still trying to lose weight. Problem I’m faced with is I’m running out of ideas for good tasting food on the go. I have been eating stuff like bananas and nuts, and dried meats, and all the average fruits and veggies that store well at room temperature. But if anyone has any good ideas for food that keeps well at room temp, doesn’t matter if it has to be cooked or not, just so long as I can store it in my car, or a locker, anywhere there isn’t a fridge handy.

Thanks all.

admin answers:

Nuts are the most calorific food you can get, AND bananas. That’s concentrated energy for you.
Room temperature? Try tinned tomatoes and tinned broad beans.
You can also buy a couple carrots each day and celery and cucumbers. Walking to the supermarket will keep you extra fit too.,,,

Healthy cat food for weight loss?

Over the years, my cat has slowly gained weight. He’s at the high-end of the healthy weight scale and I’m looking for a good cat food will aid in his weight loss. He’s been an inside cat for about 2 years now if that makes a different. Thanks for the help!

admin answers:

Science Diet has a great variety of foods and all my vets have recommended it. The indoor formulas of any cat food are usually formulated with less fat/calories since indoor cats tend to be a bit less active, but there are also “lite” versions of just about every variety.
You may also want to consider your cats age. If he is 7 years or older, go for the senior cat food, it compensates for the decline in activity as they get older and I think there are lite versions of the senior formula also.
Just be sure to follow the measurements for the appropriate amounts on the bag so you don’t accidentally overfeed him.
