Same with me. My doctor also suggested I take fish oil, which comes in a gel cap and can be bought any place that sells vitamins. Cheerios are also a good breakfast choice.

Also y is 1 good and 1 bad?
Y cant they just add more good cholesterol to our food?
admin answers:
High Density Lipids(HDL) is the good cholesterol. Think of it like a pin cushion. This one is full of pins and can’t retain any more fat from you diet. Low Density Lipids(LDL) is the empty pin cushion or bad cholesterol. It has plenty of receptors for fat to attach to. Too much of this in the blood causes atherosclerosis or blockages in the arteries.

Is it fine to have high bad cholesterol if you have high good cholesterol?
Or should you try to lower the bad cholesterol?
admin answers:
High bad cholesterol = bad. Doesn’t matter if the good is high too. You need to lower the bad.

What is the term called if your body produces bad cholesterol no matter what your diet is?
My doctor said I would have to always take a statin due to my good cholesterol is great but my bad I would have it no matter if I was a stick or heavy? So how do I lower it WITHOUT statins? I tried Crestor, very bad side effects, I tried Lipitor same issue. So how can I lower it without drugs if my body produces it?
admin answers:
Hi,
You can help prevent high cholesterol by:
Eating a diet low in saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol.
Getting plenty of exercise.
Managing your weight.
Not smoking.
Because cholesterol levels tend to increase with age, paying attention to diet and exercise is even more important as you get older.
Hope this helps.
